Moomba Festival 2020
2020 marks Moomba Festival’s 66th year, and it continues to be Australia’s largest free community festival where millions of people attend every year. The festival is held over four days, from the 6th until the 9th March and includes events such as the Moomba Carnival, Moomba Fireworks and the Moomba Parade! Make sure you head to Birrarung Marr along the Yarra River and just next to Federation Square to enjoy what the festival has to offer!
Moomba Birdman Rally 2020
The Birdman Rally is a yearly event which is full of hilarious attempts of Melburnian’s trying to flap, fly or even fall all in the name of charity! Individuals leap off the Birdman Platform aiming to fly and become victorious by leaping the furthest into the Yarra River.
This will be taking place at Birrarung Marr this Sunday as part of the Moomba Festival for the Labour Day Long weekend. It has been taking place since 1976 and aims to raise money and awareness for the jumpers’ nominated charities.
It’s all big, it’s all colourful and it’s all free!
