VET Investigate Permier Hotels

The Diploma of Hospitality (Non-Cooking) students participated in an excursion to Melbourne’s premier hotels in the CBD for their unit ‘Manage Finances within a Budget’. They went on investigative mission in groups to visit the local hotels in search of what revenue streams they had to offer, including a detailed report on what improvements and other forms of revenue were out there in the hospitality and tourism  industry.

It was a huge success and the students gained valuable knowledge in the form of what each hotel offers in terms of products and services in relation to the positioning and geographical locations of the sites, from business related revenue streams to tourist related and so on.

Two students Laura Kekrtova and Elisabeth Spatari ventured into The COMO in Collins street in the top end of the CBD to investigate this Hotel group.
