Pre-enrolment Information
International Student - Student Visa Holders
If you are a student visa holder, DIAC has the following basic requirements you must comply while studying in Australia.
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
- School attendance must be maintained at 70% or above
- Meeting course academic requirements
- Notifying school if you change address
- No more than 20 hours of work per a week

Language and Literacy Requirement
To succeed academically in Australia, proficiency in English language is essential. International students require English language skills of at least the equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or Advanced level at Ozford English Language Centre to study a main course at Ozford.
PLR (Prior Learning Recognition)
Students who believe they already have some of the competencies in the course may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Application may only be made after enrolment and payment of fees and must be made using the Application Form that will be provided during orientation.
Students who have completed units from their course at other institutions will be given recognition on presentation of a verified transcript, Award or Statement of Attainment.
Access & Equity
The Ozford Code of Practice includes an access and equity policy. This document is available on request. It is the responsibility of all staff to ensure the requirements of the access and equity policy are met at all times.
Requirements include:
- Every client who meets the entry requirements will be accepted into any training/ assessment program.
- Ozford endorses the national equity strategy by incorporating the principles into all programs.
- Clients have equitable access to all programs irrespective of gender, culture, linguistic background, race, location, socio- economic background or disability.
Student Complaint & Grievance Procedure
This policy describes the process by which staff and students may have problems addressed effectively, efficiently, professionally and confidentially.
A grievance, complaint or appeal is deemed to be dissatisfaction with the procedures, outcomes or the quality of service provided by Ozford in relation to the following processes:
- enrolment
- training delivery
- a training/competency assessment, including recognition of prior learning
- issuing of results, certificates and/or statements of attainment
- any other activities associated with the delivery of training and assessment services
- other issues such as discrimination, sexual harassment, student amenities, etc.
A grievance, complaint or appeal is deemed to be a formal grievance, complaint or appeal when it is lodged in writing to Ozford. A copy of the grievance procedure is displayed in every classroom. All disputes or grievances will be handled professionally and confidentially in order to achieve a satisfactory resolution. All parties will have a clear understanding of the steps involved in the grievance procedure. All grievances will be managed fairly and equitably and as efficiently as possible.
