Course Aims
This course is aimed at people who wish to teach English as a
Foreign/Second Language (EFL/ESL) in Australia and/or overseas.
The Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
(TESOL) is a short intensive course that offers basic training in
teaching English to speakers of other languages. This is an initial
teacher training program which in addition to a degree, meets the
minimum NEAS requirement for registration as an ESL teacher in
Australia.

Full-time 8 weeks + 2 weeks practicum buffer.

Prerequisites:
Satisfactory completion of a pre-course grammar assignment or attendance at a one-day language course held at Ozford.An indepth interview with the Head of ELICOS.
Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent AND;
Aged over 18 AND;
International students: English language skills at least equivalent to
IELTS 6.5 OR IELTS 5.5 with maximum 20 weeks ELICOS course at Ozford English Language Centre.
