Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting)

Course Aims
On the completion of the certificate IV, graduates may apply for
positions that require basic accountancy skills in large or small
organizations. The course provides training in accounting procedures
enabling students to gain employment in accounting related areas
under the control of a supervising accountant.
This course is designed to reflect the role of employees who perform
duties such as:
- Completing Business Activity Statement (BAS) and other office taxes
- Operational reporting
- Producing of basic management reports
- Producing basic job costing reports
- Preparing budgets
- Supervising the operation of computer based systems
- Classifying, recording and reporting of accounting information
- Maintaining a small office
- Making decisions in a legal context

Requirements to Receive the Qualification
Successful completion of this course provides student with the entry
requirements to Diploma of Accounting.

Prerequisites:
Successful completion of Year 11 or equivalent AND;
International students: English language skills at least equivalent to
IELTS 5.5 OR IELTS 5.0 with maximum 20 weeks ELICOS course OR
EAP OR Advanced level at Ozford English Language Centre.
